The Scottish Commission for Learning Disability (SCLD) has published a resource to help Health and Social Care Partnerships (HSCPs), local authorities and health boards to plan their local learning disability strategies.

The resource: ‘Developing a Learning Disability Strategy: Guidance, suggestions and questions for developing a local learning disability strategy’ contains advice, good practice examples and reflective questions, designed to help anyone who has a part to play in developing a local learning disability strategy.

The resource was co-produced by SCLD and twelve HSCPs.

Encouraging and supporting the development of local learning disability strategy within HSCPs and helping local partners to embed a human rights approach, is a key priority under the the theme of ‘Wellbeing‘ in The keys to life.

The resource was launched on Tuesday 18th June by SCLD and Councillor Stuart Currie, COSLA Spokesperson for Health and Social Care.
