Supporting Offenders with Learning Disabilities (SOLD) – My Rights Matter Too

Supporting Offenders with Learning Disabilities (SOLD) are hosting a free ½ day workshop designed to highlight the experiences and needs of people with learning disabilities who offend in the criminal justice system.

Registration is from 1.30pm, and workshops will run from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.

Pastries and tea/coffee will be provided during registration

Workshop outline: –

This is an interactive workshop where participation is key!

The emphasis will be upon the inequalities which mean that this particularly cohort are particularly vulnerable and at risk of systematic discrimination.

Attendees will be encouraged to reflect upon their practice and what they and their organisations can do to improve support for people with learning disabilities.

There will be an opportunity to network with key partners to begin designing a multi disciplinary solution.

Who should attend this workshop: –

Anyone working in criminal justice in Scotland, the organisations & individuals who work so that people with a learning disability receive appropriate levels of support.
